It would be interesting to hear what people think is immaterial. My guess is
that my immateriality is a lot lower than most. My mom has little besides her house and 8 kids and that inheritance isn’t immaterial to me. It’s weird. Calling her life savings immaterial seems like an insult. Those are my roots. It is huge to me. I will treat the money as almost sacred coming from my mom and probably pass 100% to my kids.

What’s immaterial? 10,000? 100,000? $250,000? Any parent that owns a home the kids are going to get a nice chunk. Anything I get from parents will go straight to my kids, so it will be very material to them.
