can build it up. He encourages Fous to transfer to a Mountain West school but keeps Atiki (closer to NBA type body that young is looking for). AND he convinces Jaxson that staying on at BYU is just as good preparation as going to the G league. And then he brings in one or two other G league caliber one year rentals.

Young is an NBA guy so he won’t recruit in the traditional college way. He’ll leverage increased NIL from Ryan Smith (huge part of the deal to bring him to the Y) to get BYU a pretty darn good semipro team next year.

And he’ll recruit Europe like no other, in search of the next Kresimir Cosic. He won’t find anyone quite that good but he’ll get close.

They’ll struggle to gel in the non-con but Young will mitigate by scheduling cupcakes at home. By the middle of B12 they will round into form and surprise some people. BYU will start to gain a surprise reputation for producing second round draft picks and undrafted guys who stick in the league or play in Europe for a long time.

BYU will draw Mark Pope and UK in the second round (NCAA loves rematch drama) and win in a surprise upset that has the UK fans calling for Popes head on a platter.
