CC to BYU was a huge deal. But if KY, Duke, Kansas, maybe a few others were offering CC at the time (with related NIL), I'd guess he goes those places and never to BYU.

So Pope is clearly more likely than anybody else to dip into BYUs recruiting pool. Especially right now. But that's in part because he has to, he doesn't have the cred or connections to aim higher at the moment.

It's clearly bad for BYU to lose it's top recruits to KY. It might be a downgrade from KY to be ”stealing" recruits from BYU.
