Recruiter and average coach might do more for success in a program than a great coach / mediocre recruiter.

I dunno...is player development a thing anymore. Kids don't stick around long enough to be developed or coached...so the best programs will now just be the best recruiters (and of course deep pocket boosters)

Maybe that's how it's always been.
