Yes, I know that Pope's is more money per year, and if it extends out a couple years based on the $250k/year step increasing it would be closer to $40 over 7 years - assuming he succeeds at Kentucky.

But it's also possible he's out of a job at Kentucky after 5 seasons if he doesn't have postseason success (since contract extensions seem to be explicitly tied to tourney runs - 1 year for each Sweet 16 run or better).
