Why did it make no sense to me? Young was the highest paid coach in the NBA and
on the short list for a number of NBA jobs. He has no ties to BYU.
I did not believe BYU would pay what they paid to get him nor did I think that Young would even listen as he was close to being an NBA head coach.
I will happily eat crow. I think it is a great hire.
