Spent more than a week in the hospital in Bountiful and lost about 10 pounds (a significant amount for a kid). It was my first time away from home. One of my earliest memories was after I started feeling a little better getting up and dragging myself and my wheeled i.v. over to the window and looking out at the landscape and wondering where my family was out there.

Funny thing is I told my mom for like a week I was feeling really sluggish. She had always been real tough, but softened a bit after that. I still tease her about it to this day.
