I've been saying this for over a year now, but admittedly I have a neighbor in the AD who has shared a few things and
mentioned how Pope rubbed a lot of folks in the AD the wrong way.
But look, we now have 2 examples of Pope. He left UVU exactly how he left BYU. No "hey thanks for the time, it was an honor, ..." just left. His name is still a curse word on the Orem campus. Now he's done it again with BYU. Not a peep and he won't say anything expressing gratitude for BYU. It is all about #1 and it has always been about #1.
That isn't necessarily a bad thing, it just is.

Weird that coaches didn’t want their guys to play for Pope when Pope’s players seem eager to follow him around.

It is just who he is. He has goals and he wants to achieve them. He is a very driven individual and was great while here
