needed to make a big splash hire to keep the program going. Players were entering the portal and commits' were looking elsewhere. I am glad BYU went away from the norm and took a chance. With all the other names that were popping up, I think Young was the biggest name that BYU could get. I am excited that Ainge and Smith got involved. This makes me happy for the future of BYU in all sports even if Young doesn't work out because this hire was out of the norm and sometimes change can bring great things.
