1. Decent regular season and “in the mix” i.e., don’t finish seventh.

1. Win two games in the NCAA tournament (sweet sixteen).

Matt:
1. Be competitive all year; win at least 20 games in the regular season.
2. Win two out of these three games: Duke, St. John’s, Arkansas.
3. Make it to the SEC tournament championship game.
4. Don’t have an embarrassing loss in the NCAA tournament to a team like St. Peters or Oakland.
5. Put the program back on a trajectory to be a perennial top-10 program in years 2-3.

I think these are reasonable for Kentucky and quite doable with the transfer portal. If Pope is not the Xs and Os guy they think he is, and he keeps having the head-scratching losses like he did here, he will not last long.
