This - Pope's greatest strength was his ability to recruit.
He brought in players that never would have come to BYU historically.
KY's a great Basketball mind with a ton of cachet in the NBA & Pro leagues but the lack of College recruiting means he needs to surround himself with amazing college recruiters sooner rather than later.
He can probably get the same level of players that Pope brought in, but not for a bit.
