eventually come around and learn to enjoy it. There were a couple exceptions where I found it tolerable but for the large majority I never enjoyed it. Hanging out with them I probably listened to hundreds if not thousands of hours of country music and it never took.

I was more into heavy metal in HS. It shocked me when I came home from my mission and one of those friends bought a Metallica album. Sure, it was just the Black album but it was sure as heck a step up from country.
