From what I understand, BYU has made some pretty significant moves to allow for
greater NIL opportunities for players. I believe every starter on the team is getting 6 figures in NIL money ($100k+ each). The NIL availability for BYU is solid. It's not top of the conference, but it's middle of the pack and should give BYU enough to compete with the majority of the teams in the conference (obviously schools like Kansas will likely have more NIL resources).

At that point, if BYU't able to secure a player like Dallin Hall (and if NIL is the reason why), then it's not because BYU doesn't have the capability of giving him more NIL money. It's moreso that BYU doesn't feel like he is worth that money and giving it to him would hamper their ability to use that money to attract other recruits.

Still, I go back to the adage "a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush", meaning I'd rather focus first on the players currently in the program with NIL and THEN use remaining NIL money on drawing in recruits (though obviously we need enough NIL funding to do both).
