Stags: This is the low ceiling, high floor option. Its a very solid potential brand but not spectacular. Most people would be "Okay, that's good" and not think much more about it.

Outlaws: This is more of a "cool" name with historical ties to Utah. Ryan is very much trying to boost Utah's profile as a state, and I'm sure Church leadership has his ear in this regard. Considering how image conscious the Church is, I wonder if the brethren would be against this name because of the negative connotations.

Golden Eagles: If it weren't for the recent addition of the Golden Knights to the NHL, this would be a no brainer. Bringing back the Green & Gold sweaters from the '80s would immediately be embraced. Vintage is very popular and the brand already exists.

47s: This is the high ceiling, low floor option. It is uniquely Utah and is very much tied to the core history of the state. There are no other franchises in the NHL with a number as a name (76ers, 49ers, etc.). But the success would largely depend on how it is marketed.
