Skeptical Optimist Intervention Needed
Here's an example: Went into the blacksmith at CW. There was a guy in overalls
sitting at a table in the corner on his phone. After a minute of us just standing there, he looked up and said "Oh, I guess you want me to show you around?" He then spent about 30 seconds pointing to stuff. "Here are the bellows to make the fire hotter. Here are the hammers and other tools that were used. They'd stick the metal in the fire and then hammer it out."

That was it. He went back to reading something on his phone.

There was supposed to be a musket fire demonstration. A bunch of people gathered around a guy with an old musket. He gave a short talk about muskets, and then fussed with his musket for a few minutes and then said "Sorry, looks like it's not going to cooperate today". Everybody just walked away.

That's what every one was like.

And we were there in Mid July - peak vacation season. I get that some stuff needs to be closed. But even the stuff that was open was terrible. Everybody in our group (20 people) thought it sucked.
