Or at least they didn't as of 2019... I'll qualify this saying the very major tourist spots will but not very many things outside the high tourist stuff. Definitely not the shopping areas like the pearl market as I recall.

Also some atms are less reliable in China. So while you'll be able to get money from atms... bring enough cash for your first couple of days. So plan ahead and get your yuan from your bank.
