almost always have either no pockets or impractically small pockets.
The only thing I can think of is that maybe the fashion industry doesn’t like the lines that pockets make on female legs, or the designers think that pockets interfere with the way the fabric is supposed to hug the woman’s curves, or especially that pockets with things in them look bad on women. Idk. It doesn’t make much sense to me.
Or maybe this is just a holdover from the long history of treating women as if their only value is in their looks, as opposed to men, whose value is in what they do. From that perspective, it makes sense that practical clothes are a priority for men’s clothing designers and not for women’s.
