Also on this date during WW II P-38s took off and flew with incredible precision & shot down and killed the architect of the Pearl Harbor attack. Isoroku Yamamoto. It’s amazing that so many truly historic events happen on the same date. It was different years true. But both happened on April 18 IIRC.
