One of my biggest pet peeves of NIL is that usually we don't know the amounts.
Not that we need to know people's personal finances, but at least in the professional sports, we know their contracts and you know where the different athletes stand in relation to one another.

Our playing field currently is that we know hardly anything definite. I've just read through a bunch of threads and people are talking, but sometimes what they say conflicts with what someone else is saying and you're left wondering "what is truth?"

We should not lose players who are fits for BYU because of NIL. NIL is the current game in college sports. Whatever we need to pay DH and RS, et al, as the current going rate--well let's get it to them or let those that can help with that know. Apparently, there is no other way to compete and if you aren't in it to be successful, why are you in it?

That's what's making it so frustrating to us fans is to just stand here and not know what's going on to keep BYU from competing. It honestly sours your desire to participate because it has to potential to drag you down. Most people look to college sports because it meets a need in their life where they enjoy triumphs. If you have a son/daughter/nephew/niece in it, then it's a bit different. Most of us don't. My wife could care less about sports. It doesn't affect her one way or the other--other than she sees her husband smile when his teams are winning.
