If he stays, he WILL become the face of BYU basketball and the darling of Utah County. I promise he won’t achieve that ANYWHERE else.

Can he make more money at another program? Probably. But it won’t parlay into the long-term career success; it’ll be 1-2 years of money.

I know the NBA is still the dream. But if so, BYU is perhaps better suited than anybody to help you get there.

And if the NBA doesn’t work out, there’s NOWHERE that can offer him career opportunities like the BYU network.

Richie, stay here. Become a BYU legend. Get the keys to the city. And then you’ll be turning down financial offers.
