Hiking Kannarra Falls has always been on my bucket list. My wife has also talked about it for years. So earlier this week, I spent $75 on tickets for 5 or us . We wake up early this morning, drive 3.5 hours to Kannarraville, we get one mile into the hike, we aren't really in the main canyon yet, and my daughter has period cramps, mixed with some anxiety things, a bit of a break down, etc. I end up sending my wife and other two girls up the final mile and I return to the car with my daughter.
We drive to Cedar City Walmart for Midol, drive back to Kannarraville, wait an hour+ for rest of my family to return, then we just got back from the 3.5 hour drive home. Fun day!
This isn't a woe is me post, my thoughts are with my daughter who needs help. I'm just continually amazed how we as parents are hard wired to help our children when they need us, even if it means giving up on something I REALLY wanted to do.
