Twain was a pretty opinionated guy. And sometimes his opinions were bad. He once
called the Book of Mormon “chloroform in print.”
I suspect Twain never actually read the Book of Mormon cover to cover. And if he did, he likely read it from a literary perspective, not a spiritual one.
