So Hall is more important than both.
Richie is a great garbage man. He’s what we expected Lohner to be. But he is only the “essence” of BYU basketball because he can:
1. Take advantage of a mismatch in the post and score effectively (everyone on the team can do that)
2. Hit an open three, if someone else sets it up (everyone on the team can do that)
3. Rebound (everyone else on the team can do that when they are the person assigned to get the ball when four other guys are wedge boxing out)
4. Not beat his guy off the dribble.
