HS kids across the country are steadily getting faster. Hard to know what to make of times absent rankings. I count at
least 10 guys with what look like BYU level numbers.
The pattern seems to be that BYU has 2 commitments by mid summer from top 20 national level distance guys (e.g. Thompson twins, Teeples, Simmons and Heemeyer). 2-3 more closer to signing day, and 1-2 reserved for track breakouts.
Too many quality recruits is a good problem for BYU, but unfortunate for a few stars that don’t fit in the limited space.
