officially recorded relationships like boyfriend and girlfrend, thinks-she-is-his-girlfriend and using-him-until-a-high-value-male-shows-interest.
The "thinks-she-is-his-girlfriend' aka 'hopes-for-permanent-relationship' aka 'thinks-and-acts-as-if-it's-a-permanent-relationship' is fans,
using-him-until-a-high-value-man-shows-interest is a coach or player, and
the high-value-male is a blue-blood or top shelf nil program for whom there is rarely a permanent relationship because something better will always show interest within a few years.
BYU FB and MBB aren't blue blood and don't have top shelf nil. Both take time and higher than average work. Until then the top players and coaches will move up.
We do have blue blood programs but they're not revenue positive.
It doesn't match exactly but there are more similarities than not.
