4th string is scout team. What NFL team do you follow who has a 4th string QB
on the 53 man roster?
Scout team means cut. It would mean Zach was cut. You have to be cut (thereby being placed on waivers and therefore free to anybody else in the league who would like to claim him) before you can be signed to a scout team. Meaning the Broncos would be eating that $2.75 million and then signing Zach to a scout team contract.
