season, I thought he was just a hype guy based on finishing 5th in the WCC and bringing back mostly the same team. I am as shocked as anyone that BYU was competitive in the Big 12 and ranked. Unfortunately I'm not shocked at another 1st round exit. That is who BYU is and has been for a long time.

Were good things happening? Yes. Was I cautiously optimistic for the future? Yes.

However, we know we can find a guy to do what Pope did, all of the previous BYU coaches were like that....Rose, Cleveland, Reid. All were capable of getting us 20+ wins and a first round loss with the exception of a once in a decade team. Pope falls into that category.

It's time to see if someone new can take BYU beyond 20 wins and the NIT/1st round loss.
