Players of the week for BB - Knell, Waterman, Kozlowski, Davis
For BYU basketball, players of the week and maybe the for the month of April are:
* Trevin Knell - Clear, open-hearted enthusiasm and public "All In" commitment to BYU basketball and the school for this next year with a new coach and staff. Leadership. Also, went on public media (SportsNation) to explain his re-commitment.
* Noah Waterman - Identified in multiple forums as a committed leader and player along with Knell to be committed to the Y for next year and encouraging of fellow teammates to commit for the next season at the Y. Great kid, he had a very good season for us this past year.
* Brody Kozlowski - Had offers to go multiple places but listened carefully to the pitch and vision from Kevin Young, perhaps others - first external recruit of the Kevin Young era to commit to a new era of BYU basketball. Welcome to the team!
* Isaac Davis - Other incoming recruits got the news headlines, but Isaac Davis got the hearts of BYU BB fans with his clear and continuing commitment to play for the Y despite a shift in coaching regime. Thank you, Isaac Davis - True Blue.
I just thought these players deserved a "shout out" - we cheer for the guys who wear Cougar Nation with pride. Hopefully, we enjoy a great season ahead with these players and their fellow teammates.
