Interesting….
First of all- “ It's flaunting the intent of LTIR.” Who’s to define what the intent is of the LTIR? Is pretty simple. It allows a team to omit salary from a player that can not play because they were injured in action. Why on earth would this matter unless that salary could be allocated to another asset?

Or next - it’s happened 2 times. Not EVERY year. Can you really contest the injuries, when not only Stones’ doctors, the teams’ doctors AND a medical review board from the NHL all have to sign off ?

And Finally - I hear Stone is planning on a broken arm around the end of next February 😀
