community, it depends on the nature of the complaint and the result. I had a completely frivolous and vexatious complaint against me from an opposing attorney that the bar took no action on b/c his complaint was completely unsubstantiated and was meant to make me squirm. I had another one from a quack chiropractor over his excessive billing that I wasn't even asked to respond to b/c it was so stupid.

I even voluntarily brought up the first bar complaint in a job interview b/c it was funny and I got the job.

However, states assuredly have different procedures for bar complaints.
