The Cubs ranked for awhile and finally won the World Series in 2016.

The Orioles were dreadful for 5+ years and now their starting lineup has 6-7 homegrown stars in it. Gunnar. Adley. Cowser. Westburg. Kjerstad. Holliday. What a lineup.

There’s a draft lottery now though, and it hurts big market teams even more. The White Sox are dreadful this year and can’t pick higher than #10 because they’ve had consecutive years of lottery picks as a large market team.
