The Jazz were in a weird spot in that trade. They had to give up a lot to get the Lakers pick and the Lakers didn't have much else to include in the trade. Minnesota needed something going there way and since the Lakers couldn't offer anything. It fell on the Jazz to pay extra to make the trade happen. It will all be worth it if the Lakers pick ends up netting either a really good player or is used in a package to trade for a star. But it really sucks to give up on a young player with promise. NAW won't be a star, but he's a good rotation player and will be for years.
