This Saturday there will be an attempt to have a race with the most sub-4 minute milers ever on the BYU track.
Keep in mind a 4 minute mile at Provo elevation equates to about a 3:56 mile with altitude adjustment.
Likely participants include:
Contenders
1. Lucas Bons - #2 all-time Indoors at BYU with a 3:54
2. Casey Clinger - has run sub-4 at elevation before
3. Aidan Troutner - has run sub-4 at elevation before
4. Wyatt Haughton - ran 3:58 Indoors this spring
5. Kenneth Rooks - ran 3:59 Indoors in 2023
6. Carter Cutting - ran 3:43 1500m two weeks ago
Dark Horses
1. Joey Nokes
2. James Corrigan
3. Caleb Johnson
Would love to see BYU-commit Danny Simmons hop in this race and run unattached. He just broke the Utah Boys 1600m record last week with a 4:03.
