Homo Erectus 3rd String
Except that the grass often is greener
For a guy like Hall or Saunders, who have no chance at an NBA career, an extra $250-$500k in the bank to start your life with is incredibly valuable.

Transferring because you're hoping for more playing time somewhere else - perfectly understandable
Transferring because you really dislike your current head coach - perfectly understandable
Transferring because you can "make" significantly more NIL money somewhere else - perfectly understandable

Transferring may not always end up being a great basketball decision. But the amount of venom spewed by fans toward kids to transfer in hopes of finding a better opportunity somewhere else...that just makes no sense to me.
