Jay's comment, "It is a major blow to BYU’s 2024-25 roster, and beyond..." isn't exactly true.

Dick's comment, "My advice for fans anywhere, especially at BYU during this transition, is to accept the movement as a part of life in college sports and celebrate what you have, not what you don’t." I hear that. I keep trying to tell myself the same, but it would have been far more easier if he had never committed in the first place and decommitted years later when he was just about home from his mission. There is no good way to spin this in my mind.
