Many of the well-traveled ones here know England better than I despite having many forefathers from that country.
The trip was an attempt to be with two of my boys to see ManU. It was scheduled before ManU defeated Liverpool in FA Cup.
So we had to reschedule and see Arsenal at Wolverhampton. We had a great experience there, and previously visited Old Trafford, which soccer fans should visit at least once.
We also watched ManU slide by Coventry. Haji Wright played well and represented the US amazingly btw.
Couple that with visiting Liverpool and Matthew Street and the Caverns, where I ate the worst burger on earth, and you can see what we did, besides exploring the streets of Manchester. Also paid a visit to Oxford and met up with oxcoug for a dive into history. A small historic town with lots of very studied people.
Overall, England has a fascinating history with lots of historic sites, but terrible weather. The weather alone is reason enough to avoid living there long term
And one silly trope about English seems true, so many have terrible teeth. Is dental care not free there?
