I recently toured a blue blood SEC football facility and had a personal tour
with the head of football operations. He told me that if a player grades out at 3rd round or higher before the draft, their program can typically make sure NIL payments will exceed what they would have made in the NFL. Couple NIL with an insurance policy on the players health/injuries and it's a no brainer for the athlete who thinks they might grade out to a first or second round with another year of college play. This is the new college football/basketball landscape...
