the station is super quiet when the hosts are talking and super loud when switching to commercials. So you crank up your radio 10-12 notches to hear, they go to commercial and your car gets blasted when it switches. Same thing if you change the channel while they are talking. And, I’m not listening on a cheap 1997 Pioneer head unit, it’s a modern Infinity audio system and this occurs in another vehicle with JBL too.

I don’t understand how this happens in this day and age with audio engineers and other modern broadcasting equipment. Do they get paid extra to have EDT adds come on loud enough other cars can hear them?

If you Radio guys are reading this, because you do read CB, fix your freaking audio. This happened on all the shows, specifically this afternoon with Scotty/Hans and Alex and JJ. It’s ridiculous.
