There are almost 1000 players in the portal and most will still be there in June. BYU will try to retain as much of the eligible return roster as possible which is likely to be stronger than most B12 lettermen, sign capable new players from the portal, and miss on some.

Coaching staff is working hard, including those pending their announced hiring, and they're really good coaches.

This despite the uncertainties and struggle of a brand new Wild West BB world.

At least that's how I choose to see it.
