This is one of the reasons why City Primeval didn't work as well. Raylan really only had two major vulnerabilities from the original series.

1. His temper
2. Beautiful women

Now they could have just left #2 alone but they shoe-horned in a relationship into the miniseries that conveniently ignored that character trait. Now there are other reasons why CP didn't work as well but that is one of them. ITO.
