Maddog was the better hire. Beat Pope twice head to head and took UVU farther
than Pope did with a rebuilt roster. Maddog would also likely still be here. But Pope was a solid coach. I can agree Maddog would have been a riskier hire since he was let proven. But with hindsight he would have been the better hire.
