born with gifts and talents and that when you have them — it’s a priceless advantage in life.

I’ve thought this for a long time. Why should we revere Einstein, Tesla, Openheimer etc… for their intellect for example? Wouldn’t their accomplishments just be a result of their gifts/talents? Are their ideas really organic and came from nowhere or are those ideas inspiration?

I’m forgetting which rock band it was who said this but they said that their music essentially just comes to them and they are the instruments for it.
