No phone until 7th grade, dumb phone until 9th, pinwheel phone until 11th
and at that point when they do get a smartphone (about age 16), it's still restricted:
- time limits
- no social media/gaming
- they buy their own phone and phone plan (because honestly, I'd still prefer they didn't have it).
The research is too clear on smartphones and social media. Wait as long as you can parents, to save your children's mental health.
