KY will be a good coach. I love what he’s already done from a retention/recruiting standpoint. So I’m fully in

BUT…strategizing an NBA offense vs building and strategizing a college offense (especially at BYU) will be a learning curve.

Theres a reason Rose and Pope leaned heavily into an ‘exaggerated’ style of shooting a lot of 3s: BYU can generally recruit perhaps slightly less athletic guys who can shoot.

PHX was in the bottom third of 3s shot in the NBA this year.

Why? Booker and KD are among the best ever at mid-range.

I’m simply saying be patient. I believe it’ll take KY a while to figure out what style will work in college ball, with the recruits he can get etc. I love that he’s swinging for the fences with recruiting. I love it. But I’m a firm believer BYU needs to shoot a lot of 3s to compete year after year. I hope KY believes that too.

It’ll be a fun ride. I think KY will be here for 6-8 years. He’s gonna figure it out
