I know nothing of the video game series. I finished it last night
And it's so well done. Someone who doesn't know anything about the video game series could watch it and still love it. I can't speak to the level of angst/nerdery alerts those fans of the video games series have if it did/didn't live up to expectations.
Certainly not for the faint of heart in some aspects. Walton Goggins might be my favorite actor today. He's so good.
