He’s a redshirt JR. He’s 6’3” so he’ll be a guard in D1. BYU has interior
linemen. They don’t have any back up tackles.
This is just head scratching. You have 4 linemen with P4 experience who are slotted as starters. You have a RT or RG spot open.
None of the linemen other than the 4 mentioned above have experience in FBS at all. Maybe 3 snaps mop up time.
Why don’t they go after a P4 lineman who just lost his starting role? You have an open starting spot on the line, you can use that as leverage to get them to BYU. Even if he doesn’t win the starting RT position you have experience at depth.
You don’t need a D2 guard, you need some experience. You need tackles. Maybe even a player who won’t be a starter but can play guard and tackle from a G5 school.
