would be that you build a nice spot for yourself, but everything that surrounds you still kind of sucks. No life in your area. But it isn't like being stuck in podunk America where it's 100's and 100's of miles from anything sometimes. They aren't far away from awesome places....so worst case scenario you're stuck in a semi- lifeless place....but still easily reachable to some great places....assuming you can keep afford to keep a car over there. And maybe if you pulled it off.....you could convince a decent amount of people you know to do it too and liven up the area a bit that way. It would be kind of fun just as European homebase kind of thing...not actually living there.....but there could be better options too.
