I bought a bunch of chuck steak strips on sale and am doing a big batch today. I've got several separately wrapped vacseal packets in the bath (each with a few strips enough for one meal or me), and was hungry enough now that I decided I'd deal with the chew so I could get my lunch. The rest will ride out the full time and then be available for a quick sear when needed.
