My trimmer is 30 years old and always works. My mower is like 15. Use Ethanol
free gas and you’re fine.
I just bought an e-bike to keep up with my kids mtn biking. I fully expect it to not work and be worth $0 in less than 10 years when the battery craps out and the manufacturer is making an “improved” battery that doesn’t work in my bike.
I’d be more than happy to go electric if I expected I could replace the battery in 5 years
