There's some seriously fast old MTBers out there. I did a race last weekend
and some of the old dudes absolutely dusted me. In fact a 57 year old was less than a second off the podium with 520+ riders on a tough course (46 miles long, 6500+ ft climbing, technical single track). I can't think of another sport where you can be so fast and so old at the same time. There were a couple dozen guys in their 60's that beat me, crazy.
